Security in Faith and Home

This is a picture of the Cathedral in my home town. To me, it represents how my life is secured by my faith. Everything I have done and the person I am was made, and continues to be molded every day, by my faith. From the experiences I have had to the people I have met, I wouldn’t trade my faith for anything. It is the constant in my life that provides hope, especially in the difficult times. I would be lost without faith.

This picture also reminds me of home. While I love to travel and explore the world, South Dakota will always be my home. They say that home is where the heart is, and for me, this is it. No matter how far I wander, I end up back here. Seeing the world gives me perspective, but it also gives me a greater appreciation for where I grew up. Home is security for me, as it is home to my family and closest friends who inspire me to become better each day.

I don’t know where life is going to take me, but two things I do know are that I find security in my faith and always have a home to find my way back to. At the end of the day, I am extremely thankful and blessed to have both.

Contemplation thought for the day: What good does it do for you if God did not ask you to do it?

Sincerely yours,

Jess

  1. Is this the cathedral in Sioux Falls? I have driven by it when I’ve been there but never been inside. I might need to check it out. No faith but I love churches. Strange, I know. 🙂
